📜 Brief Bio & Background

Wan Mohamad Khairul, widely known as Zen, is a key pillar in channeling knowledge of natural heritage and wellness at the Warisan Academy Centre.

His interest in plants and herbal knowledge was sparked from a young age, particularly through experiences accompanying his late grandfather. Though his initial purpose was not fishing, he eventually developed a deep passion for the function and benefits of nature to the human body.

After completing secondary school, Zen delved into Silat, beginning his practice with Silat Gayong before actively joining Perguruan Harimau Putih in 2018. This background complements his understanding of physical and internal balance.

From 2019 to 2023, Zen was seriously involved in traditional healing (rawatan perbomohan). However, in 2024, he made the decision to focus entirely on education—deepening his religious studies and structuring a curriculum based on plant knowledge—a crucial transition to systematically document and teach this heritage through WAC.

Zen brings a unique combination of skills to the Warisan Academy Centre:

1. Applied Plants and Herbalism: Expertise in identifying and utilizing various plants for daily use and beneficial bodily functions.

2. Holistic Wellness Guidance: Capable of providing profound psychological guidance, addressing the root causes of issues from both physical and metaphysical perspectives.

3. Traditional Silat Arts: Proficiency in Silat Gayong and Harimau Putih, contributing to cultural performances and character-building training.

Zen has been active in promoting Silat and heritage on public platforms:
